We’re a small team of just three, and we believe that’s what makes the difference. Keeping things small means we’re hands-on, detail-focused, and easy to work with. You’ll always have a familiar face and one main point of contact throughout your project, so nothing ever feels confusing or impersonal. Claire Algar
Founder & Director of Rouse Bathrooms
With over 25 years in the bathroom industry, I bring experience, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping clients create spaces they love. As the business owner, I’m highly self-driven and take pride in running a well-organised, welcoming showroom where every detail matters. From the first conversation through to the final design, my focus is on ensuring each client feels supported, inspired, and enjoys the process as much as the finished result.
I’ve always loved architecture and interiors and I’m a very visual designer who enjoys creating mood boards, colour schemes, and layouts that bring ideas together. My style isn’t limited to one look—I enjoy working with contemporary, traditional, and everything in between. Every project is different, and I love finding the right balance of style, practicality, and personality, because a bathroom should be as individual as the person using it. Having completed several renovations in my own home, I understand first-hand what it’s like to live through a renovation. This allows me to guide clients with empathy, honesty, and practical insight. I enjoy refining designs until everything feels just right, and CAD design plays a key role in helping clients visualise their space before work begins.
I’m proud to be carrying forward a family business founded by my dad in 2002, continuing to grow it with care and a strong team around me.
Outside of work, I love travelling with my family and planning quality time together. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me at the gym, socialising with friends, or on the side of a football pitch with my husband Bradley and our two children, Brody and Robyn.
Sam Gates
Senior Bathroom Specialist
With over 25 years of experience in the bathroom industry, Sam brings exceptional product knowledge and a calm, reassuring presence to every project. He takes real pride in guiding clients from the very first conversation through to the final finishing touches, making the whole process feel clear, organised, and stress‑free.
Sam works closely with both clients and installers to keep projects running smoothly. His clear communication, practical approach, and attention to detail ensure everyone stays aligned, resulting in well‑managed installations and consistently high standards.
Known for his honest advice and sensible recommendations, Sam helps customers choose high‑quality products that genuinely suit their lifestyle and budget. Clients often comment on how approachable and supportive he is, valuing the confidence and clarity he brings to their renovation journey.
Understanding that life doesn’t always fit into standard hours, Sam also offers flexible and later appointments — something especially appreciated by clients balancing work or family commitments. His steady, friendly manner ensures people feel listened to, informed, and in safe hands from start to finish
Anna James
Passionate Bathroom Designer
Anna James is a passionate bathroom designer at Rouse Bathrooms, known for her collaborative approach and exceptional eye for colour. She thrives on working closely with customers to understand their vision, helping them transform practical needs into stylish, personalised designs. Whether it’s a classic retreat or a bold, contemporary space, Anna brings creativity and clarity to each project, ensuring every client feels supported and inspired from the very first conversation.
What truly sets Anna apart is her flexibility and her ability to listen. She has a natural talent for putting clients at ease, making the process enjoyable while offering insightful suggestions and thoughtful solutions. With a wealth of ideas and expertise in creating professional 3D designs, Anna helps customers visualise their dream bathroom with confidence—balancing functionality, beauty, and individuality in every plan. Originally from Sweden, Anna carries a love for clean Scandinavian design influences, which subtly inform her style and sensibility. Outside of work, she enjoys an active lifestyle, with fitness and sport playing a big part in her downtime. She also loves travelling and spending quality time with her family—experiences that continue to inspire her creativity and passion both inside the studio and beyond.
